Motivation
Hey everyone! It's a Friday which means, I am back with another fitness Friday for you lovely lot! Click on the picture for last week's blog. xox
Last week, I gave you some tips on exercise and what to eat, now to do this you need to be Motivated. Motivation can be hard to get, you really need to want something, to achieve it.
People that want to be healthier, must want it, or you simply won't get it.
Many famous faces have shown that motivation is key, for example
Cristiano Ronaldo:
As you can see from 2003, to 2015. That he is in two different body shapes right?! Ronaldo, has publicly come out and said that he knew what he wanted to look like, and that he had a long way of getting like it. But as you can see, he achieved his goals. Ronaldo trained in football, and outside oh his sport. He would eat the right nutrition and train for what he wants,
But to do this he needed Motivation.
He states that his motivation, was his team mates, picking on him for his size, and he would look up to role models, to get inspiration.
You don't need to be famous or rich, to achieve this. You need self motivation.
If you are un-happy with yourself then, you need to change. Everybody should feel happy in their own skin. I know myself, that this is not always the case, so today I am going to give tips on how I motivate myself.
I actually went from a size 14 to an 8 before.
Before I was pregnant, I was a happy size 10. I maintained this, by motivating myself.
Motivation Tips:
- Set goals for yourself, whether these are weekly or monthly tips.
- Look at photos, that you are not happy with.
- Have lazy, cheat days. But not to often. Once every two weeks for a cheat meal. Only exercise 4 times a week?
- Follow a role model
- Ask yourself what you want to look like in a years time, do you still want to be the same?
- Take everything in Moderation.
If you then write this goal down and then at the end of the month, you noticed you have lost 9-12 pounds, you will know you have achieved your goal, and it will motivate you to do the same next month, as you achieved it this month and you have seen positive results. So this will help you to carry on.
If you see photos of yourself that you're not happy with. We have all experienced this ''Bill Bob has tagged a photo of you'' *looks* *cries* *look at that double chin*. Use this as a positive thing. See that you are not happy with this, and even print it out. Put it on the wall, the fridge. Think to yourself, that you want to change.
When I say have lazy/cheat day's I don't mean be lazy and eat rubbish for five days a week. What I mean is take everything in to moderation. Be healthy and fit, but don't go over the top. If you went a whole month of no treats and exercising every day. This would soon get very boring, and you would soon go back in to your old habits. So plan a food diary were you have a cheat meal every two weeks. Go for a meal with a friend or have a cosy night in with a take away.
When first starting exercising it is always good that you have breaks, start off with exercising three/four times a week, so you are having those rest days. We want to maintain this don't we?
Following role model's is also a good thing, we all have an inspiration don't we? Mine is Charlotte Crosby from Geordie Shore.
This women, is amazing! She went from the right picture, to the left, by also eating healthy and exercising correctly. She even has her own 2 dvd's out now, on how she done this.
In my head I think ''If she can do that, what's stopping me?''
Looking into the future, and what you want to look like is another really good motivation tip, If you say to yourself, next year I want to be 2 stone lighter. Then you are setting yourself a reasonable goal, plus you are setting yourself to do something. If you achieve this, then you will feel a million dollars.
This last tip is massively important. like I said earlier, you have to take everything in moderation. If you want a healthier you, know that this will take time. Don't go starving yourself. Or going crazy exercising non stop. You could end up making yourself very ill, also, the weight will soon start to come back on or even doubled as your body will eat the fat's straight away as the body will be starving. Plus, you don't want to get bored straight away do you?!
Next week's Friday Fitness will all be on moderation. So make sure you pay attention for that one. Thanks for reading, want to contact me for tips/advice.. Then I will be more than happy to answer these
